Tune in to the Global DJ Broadcast World Tour, this month featuring a 2 hour set by resident mixologist Markus Schulz, recorded live from ageHa Nightclub in Tokyo.
For the ninth edition of the Global DJ Broadcast World Tour, Markus Schulz travels from one side of the world to the other, to one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Tokyo.
Japan’s capital is well known for it’s innovation in technology and architecture, and now trance music is being put on the map with regular parties across the city.
The word Ageha is Japanese for ‘Swallowtail butterfly’. Opened in December 2003, ageHa Nightclub boasts one of the best soundsystems in the world, and it was guaranteed to be put to the test as Markus made his debut appearance there, captured all for the GDJB listening audience.

After shaking The Big Apple to the core, the Global DJ Broadcast World Tour roadshow heads south of the border and to Central America, as Markus Schulz descends on the Magic Roots Club, in Mexico City.
Inspired from his performance at the Armada Opening Party at Ibiza three days before, Markus brought his balearic mood from one thriving hispanic region to another, in a city steeped with such famous architecture and culture.
Mexico City is a cosmopolitan metropolis, where new and old traditions coexist side by side. The Roots Magic Club has been home to some of the biggest DJs in recent months, and as Markus was appointed as the representative for the Ministry of Sound Mexican Tour for the venue, it was envitable to marry this tour with his own Global DJ Broadcast World Tour.

After taking a brief sabbatical last month, the Global DJ Broadcast World Tour returns to the road in June, and touches down in the city that never sleeps - New York. For many, it is regarded as the greatest city in the world due to its history and culture, and the same ethics can be applied to the city’s appreciation of dance music.

In 2007, one of the biggest club brand names descended on Manhattan, and in less than a year has received several awards for best nightclub in New York. Pacha may be best known for its legendary Ibiza outlet, however the New York arm is making waves at a rapid rate.

With all factors considered, it was an easy choice for Markus Schulz to make regarding his next GDJB world Tour destination. Playing at Pacha not only should be considered an achievement, it also presents an enormous challenge for the DJ, as New York is famed for having a very dedicated yet demanding clubbing audience.
